The first edition of this work. A portfolio of thirty plates, illustrated for the anonymous Italian text, 'Little Flowers of St. Francis'. Illustrated with thirty colour plates. Collated, complete. The text is a collection of fifty-three short chapters on the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. Illustrated by Eugene Burnand. Undated, dated from a similar copy held at the Trinity College Dublin Library.
Condition
In a quarter cloth portfolio with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Lacking ribbon ties. Some marks and spots to the boards. Small amount of loss of paper to the head of the rear board. Internally, pages are bright and clean.
