What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Original Binding, Uncommon

In French.

An uncommon work.

Illustrated with forty-nine plates, twelve of which are hand-coloured.

Lacking five plates, plates 1, 9, 13, 15, and 24.

A beautiful and unique portfolio that looks at the lovely fabrics to come from China.

The plates in this work beautifully showcase the typical patterns, colours, and decorations usually used in Chinese fabrics.

China's textile industry is the largest in the world, in both production and exports. It began to grow rapidly at the turn of the 20th century, this book being published during the beginning of this boom.
