Written by Donald Alexander Mackenzie, a Scottish journalist and folklorist who was a prolific writer on religion, mythology and anthropology. Condition
In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd mark to the boards. Splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Front hinge starting with the frontispiece loosening. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and the odd small handling mark. Previous owner's embossed stamp and bookplate to the front endpapers.
