An early edition of Jonathan Swift's famous work, Gulliver's Travels illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Dated from a copy on Jisc with the same amount of pages, c1913.
A remarkable prose satire for both human nature and the subgenre of travellers' tales. A classic of English literature, it is also Swift's most well known work.
Complete with eight stunning colour plates by Arthur Rackham.
Condition
In the original publisher's decorative cloth binding with Arthur Rackham's colour plate adhered to the front board. Externally excellent with only minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. The spine has slightly darkened, as usual. Some minor tape marks to the front free endpaper, otherwise the pages are very bright and clean. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and seven colour plates by Arthur Rackham. Collated, complete.
