Colourfully illustrated throughout by James Thorpe with twenty-five tipped in plates. Collated and complete.
A presentation copy from the publisher, with a stamp to the title page.
This copy was previously housed at the Walsall Public Library, and it contains a library bookplate to the front pastedown, a library stamp and ink location to the title page, and a library stamp to the verso of the title page.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, rebacked, with the original cloth laid down. Externally, lovely, with just very minor shelf wear and a small amount of bumping to the extremities. Library bookplate to the front pastedown, library stamp and ink notation to the title page, and library stamp to the verso of the title page. Publisher's presentation copy stamp to the title page. Internally, firmly bound. A slight bit of offsetting to the front free-endpaper, otherwise pages are bright and clean throughout.
