A fascinating photographic travelogue of the S.S. Ophir's fortnight yachting cruise through the fiords of Norway during 1905. The S.S. Ophir was an ocean liner built in 1891 and used as the royal yacht during 1901.
Containing seventy-three illustrated plates from photographs taken during the trip, collated and complete.
A scarce work to find in any edition.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, shelf wear to the boards and significant bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Small amount of loss to the binding on the bottom right corner of the front board. Internally, hinges are tender, though remaining binding is firm. Pages contain a few spots to the endpapers and are lightly age-toned to the extremities, otherwise they are clean throughout.
