Translated into English by Abraham Hayward. Hayward as a man of letters, contributing to various periodicals such as 'The Quarterly Review' and 'The Edinburgh Review'.

Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. A touch of discolouration to back strips, with bumping to spine head and tail. Boards bright. Front hinge lightly strained. Spotting to fore edge of text block. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright.
