First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

Archibald Williams explored the use and workings of various features of technology and engineering, including electricity, heat, sound, and more. Illustrated with a frontispiece and numerous further illustrations in text. 

The first edition with no edition remarks, seen in later editions. Dated from Copac from the earliest edition found (the fifth). 

Condition

Re-backed with the original boards and spine restored in full cloth binding, renewed endpapers. Externally smart with minor shelf wear, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Small tape repair to inner gutter of 'Author's Note,' not affecting any of the text. Pages generally very clean and bright throughout, with odd minor handling mark to occasional leaf.
