Henry Fielding was an eighteenth century English novelist known for his satires and comic novels, most popular and influential work being Tom Jones which is still greatly appreciated to this day, and received praised by authors such as Samuel Taylor Coleridge and W. Somerset Maugham as one of the best novels ever written.

Routledge uniform edition, dated via Jisc from copies held at the British library. With frontispieces and numerous further illustrations.

Condition

In the original publisher's uniform full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean with only a touch of age toning, as usual with the type of paper used.
