What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Leather Binding
A photograph album in a quarter morocco binding, bound at the workshop for Cripples. A smart photograph album with 115 photographs tipped in. These evocative photographs are unfortunately without annotations but capture a variety of places from around Europe, though principally in Britain, during the Edwardian era. Places depicted include: Italy, in particular Lake Como and Venice, with photographs of Saint Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace; Rotterdam, with the statue of Erasmus; street and seaside views in Clovelly; The Five Gables and other views in Stratford-upon-Avon; The Old Mill at Guy's Cliffe in Warwick and Warwick Castle; Gloucester Cathedral and Old Parliament House; Raglan Castle; the River Wye; Tintern Abbey and Monnow Bridge gate tower in Monmouth. A number of figures in Edwardian-style dress have also been captured.
Condition
In a quarter morocco binding. Externally smart, though with a little rubbing and faint marks to the spine and boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are clean and photographs remain firmly tipped in.
