What Our Customers Say...

Description

Decorative Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

This is the final of the d'Artagnan Romances, following 'The Three Musketeers' and 'Twenty Years After'. Set in the late seventeenth century, it comprises a quasi-origin story for King Louis XIV, since the musketeers play a role in the King's education.

Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) is one of the most widely read French authors, with his works having been translated into many languages.

Each volume is illustrated with three plates including a frontispiece.

Undated; dated from the publisher's activity with works by this author.

Complete in four volumes.

A scarce edition of this work, with no copies held on Jisc.

A delightful set of this celebrated and typical Dumas novel.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with just a little wear to the head and tail of the spin and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
