Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

With sixteen folding leaves, among the views depicted are the Assize Courts, Royal Exchange and the School of Art. These regional panorama albums of views were hugely popular during the Victorian period, with this volume dated c1900 via similar works from the publisher.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with shelf wear to the extremities and the odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound, though loosening to rear pastedown. Pages are very bright and clean. Bookseller's label to rear pastedown. University of Oslo stamp on various pages.
