One of a kind. This is a personal collection of photographs depicting classic examples of houses built in half timber, including many in Eye and Stratford, Shakespeare's birthplace included.
The stunning black and white photographs, of which there are twenty-six, capture the timeless charm of these buildings.
Handwritten cards included contextualise the photos.
With the ownership stamp of John Alexander Moor, of Wyndham Crescent, London to the front cover. Later belonged to a David Ian Moor, with his ownership bookplate to the front pastedown.
Condition
In paper covered boards. Externally very smart, a small tear to the head of the front board, otherwise general shelf wear. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound, the staples are delicate but secure. Photographs are lovely and clean, with some age-toning to the pages' edge.
