A very scarce first edition. Dated c1890 from similar works. In the original quarter cloth binding with gilt detail. A delightful Victorian souvenir, comprising of a fold out series of illustrations depicting Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury. With images of notable places such as the Queens Hotel in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury Abbey and Gloucester Cathedral. Twenty three illustrations altogether. These types of regional and visual panorama albums were hugely popular during the Victorian period.

Condition

In quarter cloth binding with gilt detail. Externally, smart with shelf wear to the edges and a few light marks to the boards. Internally, binding strained. The fold out plates are bright and clean, with some age toning to the backs and the occasional spot throughout.
