French language. Four volumes. Very scarce work. A collection of modern and economical construction plans and details with designs drawn to scale, from a variety of contemporary architects. The volumes contain plans for twenty-five buildings or homes, such as: small house one floor, worker's house with workshop, small hotel restaurant, dwelling house with study, town hall, stables, shed with attic, cottages, farm building, pavilion, boarding schools, and much more. Each volume is illustrated with four plates for each plan, combining to a total of one hundred hand-coloured plates per volume. Collated complete. Volume one contains plans one to twenty-five. Volume two contains plans twenty-six to fifty. Volume three contains plans fifty-one to seventy-five. Volume four contains plans seventy-six to one hundred.
Condition
In the original quarter red cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, sound with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and light sunning to the boards. Minor loss to the head and tail of the spines. A split to the rear joint of volume four. Marks to the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound. Plan twenty-seven is detached to volume two, but inserted correctly. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd pencil annotation. Age toning to the endpapers. 2" closed tear to the front endpaper of volume one.
