This volume contains a list of all the photographs to the front paste down. These photographs were produced using the collotype process, which was primarily used between the 1870s and 1920s. Alden & Co, set up in 1832, were best known for publishing Oxford’s first ever guide book, Alden’s Oxford Guide, which remained in print for many years. Condition

In publisher's original quarter cloth binding. Externally sound, with some staining to the front board, and wear to the boards, extremities, and head and tail of the spine. Small losses to the head and tail of the spine. The front hinge is starting but still reasonably firm. Internally, binding is slightly strained in a couple of places.
