A Victorian scrapbook and notebook, with many pages featuring Christmas cards and illustrations. Many of these postcards and illustrations were produced by noted publishing company Marcus Ward & Co.
Thirty-eight pages are complete with illustrations and pasted postcards and gift tags, and seventy pages have been left blank.
Also containing numerous loosely inserted drawings, dated 1881 on several.
Including many blank pages to the rear, to be filled with additional illustrations and memorabilia.
Handsomely bound in half morocco with cloth covered boards.
Condition
Handsomely bound in half morocco with cloth covered boards. Externally, sound, with some shelf wear to the boards and rubbing to the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. A few handling marks to the pages, which are otherwise bright and clean.
