    Description

    Decorative Binding, Illustrated

    Containing engravings by Landseer, Rubens, Van Dyke, Raphael, Titian, da Vinci and Corregio.

    Hand-decorated in water-colours with natural embellishments. 

    Complete with a fully-functioning clasp; the book is not full enough to hold the clasp in place.

    Boards are decorated with beautifully cut wood.

    Condition

    In a quarter leather binding with reverse calf boards topped with decorative wood. Externally generally smart; extremities are a little bumped. Some discolouration to the paper inlay. Slight loss to the gilt to the rear board. Internally, generally firmly bound; straining to the front hinge after the title page. Pages are occasionally slightly spotted.
