A very scarce work, in the publisher's original cloth binding.

A delightful and detailed guide to cooking, with recipes for bread, 'refreshing summer drinks', confectionary, pickling, home made wines, pies and sauces, with discussion of boiling and roasting.

Undated; date c1880 via WorldCat, with record of only one institutionally held copy.

With the inscription of C. J. Smith to front free endpaper.

A detailed late nineteenth century cookery work, with 'upwards of three hundred' recipes.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to spine head and tail, and board perimeters. With rubbing and fading to boards, and head and tail of front joint starting. Boards holding firm. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages significantly age toned, with handling marks throughout.
