Each title features the original colourful wraps bound in with colourful plates and black and white illustrations in text. With Routledge's 'Shilling Toy-Books' series catalogued to wraps.
Randolph Caldecott was a very popular British artist and illustrator known for his influential work with children's books and humorous depictions of hunting and fashionable life.
Condition
Rebound in full cloth signed Edmund Warrall, with the original wraps bound in with the volume. Externally sound with shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine, back strip faded, damp marks to boards, boards lightly marked. Internally, binding generally firm. Pages generally very clean throughout.
