An undated copy from the 'Chandos Library', dated from Jisc. Jisc notes a half-title, which this volume is lacking. Edited by William Bray.

Covering art, culture, and politics, with personal accounts of the execution of Charles I, Oliver Cromwell's rise and death, the last Great Plague of London, and the Great Fire of London in 1666. John Evelyn was a seventeenth century English author and gardener.

In a full vellum binding with intricate gilt tooling to the spine and marbled endpapers. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and minor light soiling tot he boards. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with a frontispiece.
