A very scarce work. A coloured folding map showing Northampton. The map showings the railways and names of railway stations, the telegraph lines, and telegraph stations. There is also a small key showing the symbols for chief places of country election, polling places, borough returning two members, boroughs returning one member, boundaries of boroughs, and division of counties. By George Frederick Cruchley. Cruchley was cartographer, publisher, and engraver, who was based in London in the nineteenth century. Map measures at 24 inches by 19.5 inches. Advert to the front pastedown promoting Cruchley's other railway and telegraphic county maps.

Condition

In a cloth binding. Externally, with some rubbing and discolouration to the front board. Some marking to the boards, mostly to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Map is cloth backed.
