Published anonymously, compiled by Robert Kemp Philip, English journalist known for his affordable handbooks, his most popular was 'Enquire Within Upon Everything'.
Condition
Rebound in half morocco binding over marbled boards. Externally with shelf wear, rubbed and scuffed to spine and extremities. Front hinge slightly strained, holding firm. Previous owner's gift inscription to recto front blank page dated 1860. Internally, firmly bound. Odd spotting scattered to occasional leaf, pages otherwise generally very clean throughout.
