What Our Customers Say...

Description

Folding Plates, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

Undated. Dated from the final insert in the table of chronology. With fifteen folding maps and four tables. As per volume three contents, The Length of Rivers and The Heights of Mountains has been replaced with a coloured chronological chart to page 1376 of volume three. Complete as published. An ambitious work, offering across three volumes a dictionary format of 'useful information'. A wide variety of included topics, including heraldic crests, the continents, coins and flags, as well as brief histories of important figures and events throughout history.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart with bumping to the extremities and the head and tail of the spine. The odd mark to the boards. Hinges slightly strained but firm. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with marginal age toning and the odd spot.
