Consistent with the undated eleventh edition of 1858. With 17 plates and a vignette in the text.

Condition

In a green cloth bindign. Externally, smart with just some light rubbing to extremities and wear to the head and tail of the spine. Hinges strained. Ink inscription and blind stamp to front free-endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright with light scattered spotting and handling marks throughout. Heavier marks and occasional pencil scribbles to plats. Loss to the folding facsimle of John Adam's handwriting, affecting the signature.
