Includes 27 illustrations on monochrome plates and throughout the text. Collated, complete.

Edgar Allan Poe was a American poet and literary critic from the nineteenth century. He is a well regarded Romantic poet in the United States and American literature.

From the Ascott House library, owned by the de Rothschild family. The library was created following the conversion of the billiards room in 1936 and was predominantly filled with books collected by Anthony de Rothschild.

Condition

In John Bumpus signed full leather binding. Externally excellent. Only minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with some spotting to the endpapers and the occasional spot internally.
