Bound in half cloth with marbled paper-covered boards.

B. Macaulay', 'The Retreat of the Ten Thousand', ''Cute M'Quade' and 'A Story of Two Lives'.

With charming vignette illustrations to accompany each writing, from artists including Dick De Wilde.

Each chapter appears to have been taken from a periodical or larger work, with a separate number assigned and a separate pagination.

Condition

Bound in half cloth with marbled paper-covered boards. Externally, sound, with slight rubbing causing a little loss to the extremities. Light marks to boards with a touch of fading to the spine. Ink inscription to front paste down. Hinges are slightly strained, but holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little age toned, with light spotting in places. The occasional tear and light tide mark to page. Ink inscription to first page of 'Charles James Fox' chapter.
