A charming little volume, containing the life of Mohammed (c570CE-632CE)
Published by the Religious Tract Society, founded in 1799, who published a number of religious works intended for evangelism.
In a Seton & Mackenzie full calf binding, with a gilt emblem stamped to the front cover, gilt edges and spine.
Contains a prize bookplate to the front pastedown from Edinburgh Ladies' Institution presented to Miss Eliza Sinclair Third Prize for Preparatory Writing, dated 1858.
Undated, dated from copies on Library Hub.
Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally very smart, some rubbing to the spine. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound, pages bright and clean.
