What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Rebound
In the original French.
An artistic account of the Vendome Column, built to commemorate the Battle of Austerlitz.
The column was torn down in 1871, before being rebuilt and can now be seen in the Place Vendome.
Illustrated with thirty-eight plates.
Engraved by Ambroise Tardieu.
This appears to be complete with thirty-eight plates, though the title page calls for forty plates, it seems that only thirty-eight plats were printed with this edition, with other copies stating having thirty-eight plates.
Undated, dated from the last plate.
Condition
