Full title reads: 'The standard miniature English dictionary by Dr Samuel Johnson. To which are added, tables of words and phrases from the Latin, French, Italian, and Spanish languages; An extensive and accurate chronology; a compendious dictionary of law terms; the Greek and Roman mythology; and a list of the cities, boroughs, towns &c in England and Wales' With a vignette title page.

Condition

In a calf binding with gilt detailing. Externally, rather worn, with rubbing, marks, and both joints starting. Slight loss to the rear board, and backstrip is lifting. Front hinge has failed. Internally, binding strained. Ink inscription to front pastedown. Pages are bright, and quite clean, though with some instances of foxing and a few ink spills. Slight chipping to the edges of the first few pages.
