A scarce edition, undated, dated circa 1820 from Jisc. Only three copies held in libraries.

Title translates to 'A master's gift to his apprentice: the mystery of the elaborate art from Japan; including trainings to put a surface sheen of gold or silver on wood, brass, iron, &c. ... / has been set out at the request of the elaborate and learned Lewis Morris.'

Condition

Disbound. Prior owner's ink inscription to the first page. There are some small tears to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some age toning and the occasional spot.
