Comprising the following:

'The English fleet in 1342 : a celebrated historical comic opera' by John Braham. This is undated as called for, and has been dated from Copac as being c1804. 'The English Fleet' was first performed in December 1803 with John Braham singing. The duet 'All's Well' from this comic opera
was the most popular duet in the United States during the first half of the 19th century. Illustrated, with a frontispiece. 

'Paul and Virginia' a musical drama, founded on Bernadin de Sr Pierre's novel. This musical drama was composed by William Reeve and Joseph Mazzinghi. It is also undated, with Copac citing the publication date as 1800. The paper for this copy is watermarked 1801. 

The final three leaves bound to this work is another work for the piano forte, 'Sir David Hunter Bllair's Reel' by M P King. This is a scarce work often found bound with other sheets of music. 

A very bright copy of this scarce collection of sheet music. 

Condition

In a contemporary half calf binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Rubbed to the joints and to the extremities. Minor worming to the head of spine. Joints are cracked, with the hinges firm. Former owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Closed tear to page 80 of the first work to the gutter. Pages are clean.
