Bound in the original characteristic red snakeskin-like cloth.

Written by Evelyn Waugh, a member of the Bright Young Things group of the 1920s.

'Black Mischief' is Waugh's third novel, following the efforts of Emperor Seth as he tried to modernise his African Empire, alongside his fellow Oxford graduate, Basil Seal.

Illustrated with a map to the frontispiece.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with slight rubbing to the extremities and joints. Small tears to the cloth at the head and tail of the front joint and at the head of the rear joint. Slight bumping, mainly to the spine and extremities. A touch of fading to the spine. Hinges are a touch strained. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd spot.
