Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated

First edition. Illustrated with many plates throughout, several of which are coloured. Abraham Roentgen was born in Mülheim am Rhein, Germany. He learned cabinet making from his father. At age 20, he traveled to Den Haag, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, learning from established cabinet makers. Upon his retirement in 1772 his son David took over the business and established his own reputation.

Condition

In a cloth binding. Externally, smart, with just some slight bumping. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
