The author looks at the work of the plough, harrows, rollers, manure distributors, seed-sowing machines, the horse as a motor, heat engines, tractors, barn machinery, sheep-shearers, and more. Illustrated with numerous illustrations throughout. Written by J. R. Bond, who was the agricultural organiser and executive officer to the Derbyshire County Council. With a forward by John Russell. Russell was a soil chemist and agricultural scientist, who was the director of the Rothamsted Experimental Station from 1913 to 1943. Collated, complete.
