    The second edition of this work. An engrossing and detailed treatise on mine engineering, written during an uprising of mining in the United Kingdom. Illustrated with sixty-one double paged colour plates, and three colour plates. Collated, complete. Written by G. C. Greenwell. Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of the title page.

    Condition

    Rebound in a quarter calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Some light marks to the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots. Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of the title page. Repaired closed tear to page 255. Small tape repair to the reverse of plate 64, and some edgewear.
