First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
The first edition of this work. With half-title, in the publisher's original cloth binding. Illustrated, with twelve coloured plates and many black and white vignettes. Bookplate of Henry William Paget Hoskyns to the front pastedown. The Hoskyns family are of North Perrott, Somerset. The family owned the title of Lordship of the Manor of North Perrott and the Patronage of the Living. Edited by Geoffrey Holme. Holme founded 'The Studio' magazine, who published this work. 'The Studio' was a magazine dedicated to fine arts and decorative arts with the first issue appearing in April 1893. With the text written by Malcolm Charles Salaman. Salaman was an English author, journalist and critic. He was a regular writer for 'The Studio'. The artists whose works have been presented in this work include Gabriel Belot, Emile Bernard, Vivien Gribble, Hall Thorpe, Noel Rooke, Harry Becker, Robert Gibbings and Dorothy Hutton. A lovely copy of this work.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Bookplate of Henry William Paget Hoskyns to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
