In the very scarce original dustwrapper.
A collection of charming illustrations by Cecil Aldin, containing many portraits of dogs.
Illustrated with twenty-seven plates.
Collated, complete.
Aldin is best known for his entertaining illustrations of animals.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A little discolouration to the spine. Dustwrapper is torn, in three pieces, lacking most of the backstrip. Some chips to the wraps, including a large chip to the head of the front wrap. Light discolouration and some marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Small amount of loss to the fore edge of the first illustrated leaf, and to the tail of the last leaf.
