Folding Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce work. This work looks at the monuments found in the churches in Stoak, Backford, and Thornton-le-Moors, all of which are villages in the county of Cheshire. With a folding plate, and nine plates. Written by J. Paul Rylands and F. C. Beazley. Rylands was a genealogist and topographer, who also published 'The Visitation of Cheshire in the Year 1580', 'Cheshire and Lancashire Funeral Certificates', 'The Visitation of the County of Dorset, Taken in the Year 1623', and more. Collated from Copac from a copy held at the National Library of Scotland, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A little discolouration to the boards, slightly heavier to the head of the front board. Minor discolouration to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with just a couple of light marks.
