What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

A comprehensively illustrated work with plates throughout, presented here in a very bright condition. Exceptionally clean condition. This is a work prone to spotting and here is almost pristine. From an excellent source, being the Birmingham Patent office. Thirty plates to volume I, forty-two plates to volume II, thirty-two plates to volume III, eight plates to volume IV, twenty-three plates to volume V, seven plates to volume VI, five plates to volume VII and six plates to volume VIII. 152 plates total. A very scarce work. Uniformly bound, in a buckram binding. Tipped in to volume VII is a notice to members of the Architectural Publication Society regarding this volume's publication. The notice requests that receipt of this part may be 'at once acknowledges by post-card to Arthur Cates'. From the library of the Patent Office, with their stamps to the margins of occasional leaves. An informative work, with essays and entries compiled by noted individuals in the field.

Condition

In uniform buckram bindings. Externally, all volumes are in an excellent condition with just some minor shelfwear to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Occasional institutional stamps from the Patent Office Library, an attractive stamp, not obstructing text. Contents leaf to volume II is chipped. Notice tipped in to volume VII. Pages are very bright and clean.
