What Our Customers Say...
Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon
This first U.K edition, published the same year as the U.S imprint is rather uncommon.
With forty-two tipped in coloured stain glass examples, laid down on black card, making the plates rich in colour. In addition to this there are also forty-eight collotype plates.
Inscription to the recto of front endpaper, 'Gordon Webster 10 Cleveden Crescent, Glasgow W2.
A fantastic study of this ancient art.
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with patches of light rubbing to boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with some minor offsetting in places. Scattered spots to the first and last few pages.
