A complete twenty five volume set of Sir Walter Scott's Waverley Novels. 

The Waverley novels are a long series of novels by Sir Walter Scott, which were, for nearly a century, among the most popular and widely read novels in Europe. 

These volumes are part of the Centenary Edition, published in 1871, and each have a frontispiece and a vignette title page. 

Volume one contains Waverly of 'Tis Sixty Years Since, volume two contains Guy Mannering, volume three The Antiquity, volume four Rob Roy, volume five Old Mortality, volume six The Legend of Montrose and The Black Dwarf, volume seven The Heart of Mid-Lothian, volume eight The Bride of Lammermoor with a folding facsimile plate to the front. Volume nine contains Ivanhoe A Romance, volume ten contains The Monastery, volume eleven The Abbot, volume twelve Kenilworth, volume thirteen The Pirate, volume fourteen The Fortunes of Nigel, volume fifteen Peveril of the Peak. Volume sixteen contains Quentin Durward, volume seventeen St. Ronan's Well, volume eighteen Regauntlet A Tale of The Eighteenth Century, volume nineteen contains The Betrothed A Tale of the Crusaders and The Chronicle of the Canongate, volume twenty contains The Talisman A Tale of the Crusaders and The Chronicle of the Canongate. Volume twenty one contains Woodstock or The Cavalier A Tale of the Sixteen Hundred and Fifty-One, volume twenty two contains The Fair Maid of Perth or St. Valentine's Day, Chronicles of the Canongate-Second Series, volume twenty three contains Anne of Geierstein or The Maiden of the Mist, volume twenty four contains Count Robert of Paris and volume twenty five contains The Surgeon's Daughter and Castle Dangerous. 

All volume are uniformly bound by Mundie.

Condition

All are rebound in half morocco with marbled boards by Mundie. Externally, all are very smart with a few light marks to some of the spines and boards. Rear hinge starting on volume sixteen but remains firm. Internally, all are firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages.
