Published in January 2017, 4 3 2 1 tells the story of the protagonist, Archie Ferguson, and four different versions of his life. Through his perspective, the work covers important historical moments such as Kennedy's assassination and the Vietnam War. The work was the first novel to have been written by Auster in seven years and is an ambitious and unusual work. 4 3 2 1 was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2017 with the prize eventually being awarded to Lincoln in The Bardo.

In a maroon cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally in lovely condition. Dustwrapper is in lovely condition with minor shelf wear to the extremities only. Internally firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Signed and dated by the author to the title page. Small mark to title page.
