The life of Sir Kenelm Digby, an English courtier and diplomat, a highly reputed natural philosopher, astrologer and leading Roman Catholic intellectual and Blackloist. Known as the son of a traitor after his father's execution for high treason as a Gunpowder Plotter, he made an attempt to clear his name and gain personal glory by setting sail for the Mediterranean. Written by Joe Moshenska, a British is Associate Professor at University College, Oxford.

Condition

In the original white paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with minor wear and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small handling mark.
