A first edition in the original unclipped dustwrapper.

Edward Wakeling, the former chairman of the Lewis Carroll society, is an international authority on the famed children's author, and editor of many of his works, including ten volumes of Carroll's diaries.

Wakeling presents a new appraisal of Carroll based upon his social circle, which included many of the leading artists, publishers, academics and composers of the Victorian era. He utilises previously undiscovered and unpublished letters, alongside photographs and family tree's constructed.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dustwrapper. Unmarked and unblemished. Dustwrapper is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
