This spy novel was described by John Le Carre as being more autobiographical than some of his previous works; it follows an undercover mission undertaken by British and American intelligence forces in Gibraltar.

John le Carré (1931-2020) was a British author of thrillers and espionage novels, having drawn from personal experience working for MI5 and MI6 in the 1950s and 1960s. His most popular works include 'The Spy Who Came In from the Cold', 'The Night Manager' and 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy'.

This is a first edition.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding, with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. Dust wrapper is in excellent condition, with minor wear only and slight rubbing to the title of the spine. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean.
