First edition. Illustrated with one full colour pop-up scene with two moveable parts and six folding flaps. Collated complete and in perfect working condition. An interactive exploration of one of London's most iconic buildings. With information from the building in 1852, its grand opening, and the story of the station since then. With text from Sir Michael Edward Palin, an English actor, comedian, writer, and television presenter, and Daniel Gordon Raffan Cruickshank, a British art historian and BBC television presenter, with a special interest in the history of architecture. Illustrated by Lucy Dalzell, a British visual artist. Pop-up designs by Corina Fletcher, a British paper engineer and visual artist known for her children's pop-up books.
Condition
In the original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards. With string tie. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. All pop-up and moveable features are in perfect working condition. With previous owner's small ink stamp to the front pastedown.
