A very comprehensive and fascinating work on the photography of Norman Parkinson, a British photographer from the 1930s to the 1980s. His work revolutionised the field of fashion photography, as he enjoyed working in the outdoors, as opposed to exclusively in a studio. He photographed many members of the royal family, including iconic portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and The Queen Mother. He received many awards for his work, including the Royal Photographic Society's Progress Medal and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the American Society of Magazine Photographers.
This work profusely illustrated throughout, with over 200 illustrations, including full page spreads, illustrations in colour, and in-text illustrations, all from the photography of Norman Parkinson.
In the original unclipped dust wrapper, with a sticker from Charlie Byrne's Bookshop to the front wrap, which can be professionally removed.
