    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Slipcase

    A 2008 'for your consideration' promo DVD copy of the screen adaptation of The Reader, Bernard Schlink's thought-provoking novel dealing with the struggles of post-war German generations in understanding the Holocaust and the actions of those who took part in, or witnessed, the atrocities. 

    Starring Kate Winslet, Ralph Finnies, and David Kross. Winslet won numerous awards for her role, including the Academy Award for Best Actress. 

    Held in the original paper case, listing nominations for best picture, director, supporting actor and actress, adapted screenplay, &c. 


    Condition

    Housed in the original paper case. Externally very smart with only light soiling to the boards. Previous owner's gift inscription to the rear, undated, signed 'Martin.' The DVD presents no rubbing nor scratches.
