2006 The Mission Song
What Our Customers Say...
This work is a thriller, detailing the planning of a Western-backed coup in Kivu, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It painted a detailed picture of the political climate in the region and created an awareness of the British press' attitude towards the humanitarian crisis of the Congo War.
John le Carre (1931-2020) was a British author of thrillers and espionage novels, having drawn from personal experience working for MI5 and MI6 in the 1950s and 1960s. His most popular works include 'The Spy Who Came In from the Cold', 'The Night Manager' and 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy'.
A first edition, first impression, complete with an unclipped dust wrapper.
In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. Dust wrapper has a little general wear to the boards, and a touch of bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
